Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for a growing organization in Southborough, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving process improvements and supporting a high-performing payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple pay groups
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Oversee payroll audits, reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy in payroll systems
• Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and leadership on payroll-related matters
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner
• Identify and implement payroll process improvements and internal controls
• Supervise and mentor payroll staff as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems such as Workday or ADP
• Proficiency in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and internal accounting controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• CPP certification is a plus
