Payroll Manager
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for a growing organization in Southborough, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving process improvements and supporting a high-performing payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple pay groups
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Oversee payroll audits, reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy in payroll systems
- Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and leadership on payroll-related matters
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements and internal controls
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll systems such as Workday or ADP
- Proficiency in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and internal accounting controls
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- CPP certification is a plus
