Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to step in quickly and add value in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. This role will support key accounting functions, including month‑end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances.

• Support general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Support audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.

• Identify process improvements to streamline accounting operations and strengthen controls.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.

• Prior experience in a contract or interim accounting role preferred.

• Experience with ERP systems

• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
