Legal Administrative Assistant
A small civil litigation law office in Santa Rosa is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide temporary coverage during a medical leave continuing through early August. This position requires candidates to report onsite Monday through Thursday and is best suited for legal support professionals who can step into an active practice with minimal training. Given the urgent nature of this need, candidates must be available to start immediately, with the firm targeting a start date no later than Thursday, June 18.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, scan, upload, and electronically file court documents
• Assist with electronic court filings through One Legal and other filing platforms
• Process service requests and filing-related correspondence
• Answer and route incoming phone calls
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Maintain electronic and physical case files
• Assist with document organization and records management
• Provide front desk and general administrative support
• Support calendaring and scheduling activities as needed
Qualifications:
• Administrative and litigation support experience in a law firm or similar environment
• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Prior e-filing experience preferred
• Experience with One Legal is a plus
• Must be available to begin the assignment immediately and commit through the anticipated duration of the coverage need
Compensation
