Your Mission:

The Quality Inspection Team Lead assists and supports the Quality Supervisor/Manager by directing and guiding a team of Quality Technicians who perform dimensional and visual inspections. This role focuses on coordinating inspection tasks based on production priorities, supporting quality standards, and fostering a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. 


Explore the Depth of the Role:

  • Assist in directing and coordinating team members to complete dimensional inspection tasks according to priority actions.  
  • Assist with the implementation, interpretation, and maintenance of ISO9001 quality standards.  
  • Participate in internal audits as needed, supporting the supervisor/manager.  
  • Assist team members in verifying measurements and product conformity using calipers, tape measures, gauges, and other basic tools.  
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inspection documentation and logs.  
  • Assist in pre-shift briefings with the team on safety, inspection goals, and priorities.  
  • Deliver and receive constructive feedback to support continuous improvement of the team.  
  • Promote a culture of mentoring, development, and professional behavior within the team.  
  • Assist in maintaining clean and organized work areas and promoting 5S practices.  
  • Support personal and team safety by ensuring proper use of PPE and awareness of machine operation and hazards.  
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and cross-functional groups.  
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to support the Quality Supervisor/Manager and department objectives.
Requirements:


Mission Readiness:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Completion of a quality program, trade school, or equivalent preferred.  
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing.  
  • Ability to read blueprints and use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.  
  • Familiarity with Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.  
  • Experience with PC-based tools (Word, Excel, basic documentation).  
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections. 
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to assist and guide team members and collaborate with other departments.
  • Ability to coach and mentor technicians under the guidance of the supervisor/manager.  

Travel Requirements:

  • Rare but may occur

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
