What You Will Do

• This position performs the issuing of citations on the SIUE Campus (Alton, East St. Louis, and Edwardsville) according to Parking Policies.
• Enforces No Parking, No Standing and No Deliveries areas throughout campus.
• Performs motorist assistant as needed.
• Provides directional assistance and directs traffic for events at SIUE.
• Gathers statistical informations as requested.
• Provides customer service to SIUE Students, Staff, Faculty, and Guest as needed.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Possession of a valid and current State of Illinois driver's license.
-No record of conviction of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.

Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of SIUE parking policies and regulations. Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPark, etc. Ability to operate a two-way radio. Ability to operate a handheld computer device. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to effectively and safely operate a motor vehicle with a current Illinois drivers license. Ability to pull and back trailers.

Illinois Residency Requirement : Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.

Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Drivers License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days is grounds for immediate separation.
