Human Resources Generalist (Remote)
Are you passionate about supporting colleagues and ensuring smooth HR operations? Do you have a knack for responding to colleague's questions about time off, leave of absence processes, and payroll inquiries? As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting our HR team with a variety of activities, from administering leave management to supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts.
The Human Resources Generalist is part of a dynamic growing Human Resources team and is responsible for providing exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders. As the HR Generalist, you will focus on providing support to managers and colleagues with leave management, verifying professional licenses, filing clearance forms, leave management, disability management, and payroll inquiries. This includes overseeing the disability leave process, resolving complex leave-related issues, verifying leave coding on the HRCM, providing guidance on leave policies, and coordinating with payroll to ensure accurate payments are made during leave periods. Additionally, the role will support HR onboarding efforts and contribute to general HR functions as needed.
Human Resource Generalist Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and compliant Colleague Resources (CR) records while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide guidance to colleagues and leaders on CR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters
- Support full-cycle talent acquisition activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination and offer support
- Coordinate pre-employment processes such as background checks, employment verification and onboarding documentation
- Assist with onboarding and orientation programs to deliver a positive new hire experience
- Partner with leaders to provide day-to-day CR support, including employee relations and performance guidance
- Support audits, reporting and maintenance of required employment records and documentation
- Assist with training, compensation support, and CR initiatives, including process improvements and policy implementation
- Provide support and inputs to CR project initiatives as assigned
- Assist in implementing CR programs and company-wide policies, procedures and guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned
Human Resource Generalist Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience or related field preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service with ability to collaborate across teams and support leaders
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Workday and ATS preferred
- Strong judgment, critical thinking, and ability to communicate complex information clearly
- U.S. Citizenship required

Sedgwick Government Solutions provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of a specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($65,000-$67,000).
