POSITION SUMMARY


The Commodity Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing fuel pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace. This role analyzes market trends, fuel costs, competitor pricing, and margin performance to establish fuel prices across a network of pipelines and terminal locations.

This is a full-time position located in Onalaska, WI with a Monday through Friday, daytime hours schedule. This position will also be responsible for:

  1. Execute pricing strategies that balance volume growth, market share, and profit objectives.
  2. Monitor daily wholesale fuel markets, rack pricing, and industry trends.
  3. Analyze competitor pricing and market conditions.
  4. Collaborate with operations, supply, scheduling, and marketing teams to support pricing decisions.
  5. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on pricing performance.
  6. Evaluate the impact of market fluctuations, supply disruptions, and regulatory changes on fuel pricing.
  7. Conduct forecasting and trend analysis to support business planning.
  8. Ensure pricing compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  9. Maintain pricing databases and reporting tools.
  10. Investigate pricing discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Position Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or a related analytic-based field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  2. Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data analysis.
  3. Experience with ERP systems or business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  4. Understanding of margin management and financial analysis.
  5. Experience interpreting large datasets and market information.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions.
  8. Excellent communication and organization skills.
