About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Services Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing and supporting the delivery of technology products and services of high profile business unit clients and contribute to large scale solutions planning related to Technology Business Services
- Ensure service quality and cost effectiveness of solutions
- Review customer information with the technology team and implement technical initiatives for highly complex projects impacting multiple lines of business or across the enterprise
- Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of managing multiple medium technology development efforts that influence and lead broader work team and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with the technology team and more experienced management within Technology Business Services functional area to resolve Information Technology issues and provide customers with best possible solutions
- Provide guidance on leveraging new technology
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
The Lead – Technology Business Services is responsible for providing end-to-end operational governance, strategic enablement, and execution oversight for the Technology Line of Business. The role ensures leadership has timely, accurate visibility across people, financials, delivery, risk, and compliance to support effective decision-making and execution of strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Enablement:
- Facilitate leadership forums, executive engagements, talent and succession discussions.
- Prepare strategic presentations, CIO dashboards, business review decks, and leadership updates.
- Convert operational metrics into insights, scenarios, and recommendations.
Operational Efficiency & Workforce Governance:
- Govern headcount forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, AU mapping, and hiring pre-approvals.
- Manage workforce transitions, documentation, and compliance activities.
- Track and monitor KPIs across people, process, delivery, and finance.
- Identify trends, gaps, and drive process improvement initiatives.
Financial Governance & Budget Control:
- Partner with Finance on planning, run-rate reconciliation, and variance management.
- Monitor sub-LOB budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
- Track budget utilization and proactively manage financial risks.
Strategic Programs & EI Execution:
- Lead end-to-end execution of EI programs and strategic initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across Technology, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Governance teams.
Governance, Risk, Audit & Compliance:
- Strengthen operational controls and monitor KRIs.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and own remediation actions.
- Own Business Continuity Planning including periodic testing and readiness reviews.
Vendor, Infrastructure & Business Support:
- Manage vendor lifecycle including onboarding, renewals, furloughs, and BOW optimization.
- Oversee workspace planning, seat allocation, and event logistics.
- Respond to ad-hoc leadership and business support requests.
