Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist to support a health pharm/biotech organization in Boston, Massachusetts on a Contract basis. This role focuses on accurate invoice processing, payment coordination, and day-to-day AP operations while maintaining strong financial controls. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with coding invoices, handling ACH and check payments, and working within NetSuite in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review vendor invoices, assign the correct account codes, and enter payment details with a high level of accuracy.

• Process accounts payable transactions from receipt through approval, ensuring documentation aligns with company policies and purchasing records.

• Prepare and execute ACH payments and check runs according to established schedules and internal controls.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting records to verify amounts, approvals, and payment terms before processing.

• Maintain organized AP records in NetSuite and update transaction details to support reporting and audit readiness.

• Investigate invoice discrepancies, resolve payment issues with internal teams and vendors, and follow through to completion.

• Monitor outstanding payables and help ensure obligations are paid on time while maintaining accurate ledger activit

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting full-cycle accounts payable operations in a detail-oriented business environment.
• Working knowledge of invoice coding, account classification, and purchase order matching.
• Hands-on experience processing ACH transactions and coordinating check payments.
• Proficiency using NetSuite for accounts payable or related financial workflows.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and cross-functional internal stakeholders.
• Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a contract assignment setting.

Compensation

$25.00-$28.00 Hourly
