Cloud Architect Lead II
Responsibilities:
• Architect and deliver secure cloud solutions across Azure and other enterprise cloud platforms while aligning designs with organizational security objectives.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and coded solutions to improve cloud security operations, configuration control, and response capabilities within Azure environments.
• Perform in-depth reviews of cloud infrastructure, applications, and platform configurations to identify risks, recommend remediation steps, and drive mitigation plans.
• Lead cloud-focused incident response activities and contribute to preparedness exercises that improve detection, containment, and recovery processes.
• Work closely with engineering, development, and DevOps teams to embed security practices into deployment workflows, platform administration, and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee access governance for cloud resources, including privileged accounts, to promote strong identity security and alignment with recognized standards.
• Advise internal teams on cloud security policies, architectural standards, and practical approaches for strengthening compliance and operational maturity.
• Support the administration and security of containerized environments and related tooling through hands-on technical implementation and monitoring.
• Act as a senior subject matter expert by sharing guidance on emerging threats, modern cloud defense strategies, and secure architecture best practices.
• Mentor entry-level team members and help build technical capability through coaching, review, and ongoing knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of cybersecurity and cloud experience supporting the configuration, protection, and operation of cloud infrastructure and applications.• Strong hands-on background in Azure scripting, cloud automation, and secure coding practices for cloud administration and security workflows.
• Demonstrated experience designing secure cloud architectures and conducting security assessments in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud compliance expectations, security frameworks, and risk management methods used to evaluate and improve cloud controls.
• Experience supporting Microsoft cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and identity-related services.
• Practical understanding of container security, cloud monitoring, privileged access management, and incident response in cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and business teams.
Compensation
