Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Remote (Preference for Eastern or Central Time Zones)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM ET or 6:00 AM–3:00 PM CT (flexibility for global meetings)

Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale enterprise program. This role is responsible for planning, execution tracking, and coordination across multiple workstreams. The Project Manager ensures timelines are met, risks and dependencies are managed, and stakeholders have clear visibility into progress.

This role is focused on delivery rigor, coordination, and transparency rather than ownership of solution design or prioritization.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Schedule Management

• Maintain integrated project plans across data, governance, testing, change, and cutover workstreams
• Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
• Ensure plans reflect approved scope and sequencing

Execution & Delivery Oversight

• Monitor progress against scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Track workstream commitments and identify variances
• Drive corrective actions and ensure timely delivery

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

• Manage RAID logs and escalate risks as needed
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and bottlenecks
• Lead mitigation planning

Governance & Reporting

• Establish reporting cadence and governance routines
• Deliver status reports and dashboards
• Support leadership and steering meetings with clear updates

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate across engineering, testing, and business teams
• Ensure smooth handoffs between build, test, UAT, and cutover
• Align Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders

Change & Scope Management

• Track scope changes and assess impacts
• Support structured change control processes
• Ensure updates are reflected in plans and reporting

Cutover & Post-Go-Live Support

• Coordinate readiness and go-live activities
• Track stabilization efforts and post-launch progress

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain project artifacts (plans, RAID logs, reports)
• Support audit readiness and ensure documentation accuracy

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects within food, agriculture, manufacturing, or supply chain environments strongly preferred
• 4+ years of Project Management experience (5+ years preferred)
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional enterprise projects
• Strong project planning, scheduling, and execution skills
• Experience with RAID management and stakeholder coordination
• Strong communication skills across technical and business teams
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
