We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to support master data quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This long-term contract position focuses on improving the reliability, consistency, and completeness of critical data by investigating exceptions, correcting records, and applying established governance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, comfort working with structured data tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and data stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Investigate records flagged through match and merge activities, determine the source of discrepancies, and complete corrections based on approved business rules.
• Perform data cleanup activities across assigned domains, including standardizing values, removing duplicates, correcting formats, and validating key attributes.
• Review resolved records to confirm survivorship outcomes are accurate and aligned with stewardship expectations and governance guidelines.
• Analyze recurring data issues to identify underlying causes and recommend actions that reduce repeat exceptions.
• Apply authorized mass updates and record corrections while following defined controls, documentation standards, and change procedures.
• Track and review data quality metrics, exception queues, and reporting outputs to help maintain visibility into ongoing issues.
• Partner with data stewards, governance teams, operations staff, and business stakeholders to resolve records that require functional input or policy interpretation.
• Maintain clear documentation of remediation actions, decisions, and audit-ready support materials in accordance with compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in master data management, data quality, data governance, or a closely related data operations role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including functions for lookup, filtering, pivot table analysis, and structured data review.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica or comparable applications used for data quality and entity management.
• Ability to interpret business rules, matching logic, and survivorship models with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar query tools for data review, validation, or issue investigation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with business partners, stewards, and operational teams.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts, quality controls, metadata principles, or party master data is preferred.
