Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for our operations in Easton, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader who can strengthen reporting accuracy, build a disciplined control environment, and guide the team through continued growth. The position offers the opportunity to partner closely with leadership while improving accounting structure, consistency, and scalability across the business.
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting operations, including ledger oversight, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cash activity management.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Produce and review financial statements and supporting reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal reporting standards.
• Design, enhance, and maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures that support compliance and operational efficiency.
• Build a stronger accounting infrastructure by standardizing workflows and introducing audit-ready processes across the department.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, prioritization, and performance oversight.
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights, support decision-making, and improve visibility into business performance.
• Oversee accounting considerations tied to service-based operations, including job costing and revenue-related analysis where applicable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including either prior Controller experience or a strong foundation in public accounting audit.
• Big Four audit experience is preferred for candidates coming from public accounting.
• Background in a service-based business environment is required, with job costing experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success creating internal controls, strengthening accounting processes, and building scalable financial infrastructure.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and control frameworks such as SOX or similar compliance environments.
Compensation
