Accounts Payable Clerk
A Healthcare Organization in Torrance is in need of a Accounts Payable Clerk. The Accounts Payable Clerk will provide dependable support for essential payables operations. The Accounts Payable Clerk candidate is for someone who can step into a busy onsite setting, work effectively with cross-functional partners, and maintain accuracy across the invoice lifecycle. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for full cycle AP include match, batch and coding of 200 invoices per week.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a steady volume of vendor invoices each week, ensuring entries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and receiving records to confirm that charges, quantities, and approvals align.
• Investigate payment variances, missing information, and billing issues, then coordinate with internal teams and vendors to bring items to resolution.
• Examine purchasing documentation for completeness and validity before transactions move forward for payment.
• Partner with Supply Chain and other departments to support efficient invoice flow and reduce processing delays.
• Apply organizational guidelines and internal controls to maintain accuracy, consistency, and policy compliance throughout accounts payable activities.
• Provide day-to-day accounts payable coverage that supports operational continuity during an employee leave.
• Contribute to related accounting support tasks such as reconciliation, billing coordination, and other financial operations as needed.
• Lawson is a plus.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounts payable functions.• Demonstrated background working with purchase orders and performing three-way matching.
• Proven ability to identify, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment-related issues.
• Experience using accounting systems in a high-volume processing environment; Lawson experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited ramp-up time while integrating effectively into an established team.
• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational habits, and clear communication skills.
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospital, or social assistance environments is an advantage.
