Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support legal matters involving property transactions and related disputes in Lexington, Kentucky. This role works closely with the General Counsel to organize case materials, manage documentation, and keep matters moving efficiently from initial filing through resolution. The ideal candidate brings the ability to manage a deal through the closing life cycle.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and maintain legal files for commercial real estate matters, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and easy to retrieve.
• Prepare, review, and organize materials for discovery, including document collection, tracking, and production support.
• Enter, update, and monitor matter information in case management software to keep deadlines, filings, and status details current.
• Conduct factual and document research to help GC evaluate issues, support strategy, and respond to case developments.
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding scheduling, document requests, and case logistics.
Qualifications:
- • Prior paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate matters.
- • Proficiency with case management software and standard legal office technology.
- • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- • Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
- • High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- 3-5 yrs experience in commercial real estate experience
- Due diligence reports
- Simple drafting (amendments)
- Handle a closing - have experience closing deals - pre-closing, closing and post-closing, all docs, etc.
- Lease administration over current portfolio: dealing w/ tenants, vendors, consultants, etc.
Compensation
