Litigation Paralegal
Robert Half is working with client that is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process. This role is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills, experience managing case files, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. The Litigation Paralegal will assist with document management, discovery, trial preparation, court filings, and case coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and post-trial matters
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence
- Manage case files, maintain litigation calendars, and track deadlines
- Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document collection, review, production, and organization
- Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, witness files, and trial binders
- File legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors in a professional manner
- Support attorneys during hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Maintain billing entries and assist with administrative litigation support as needed
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- Experience with state and federal court filing procedures
- Knowledge of litigation terminology, court rules, and discovery processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management/document management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
