Edging Technician (Second Shift)

We have Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL and manage many optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. The Edging Technician controls the optical manufacturing equipment that edges, cuts or grinds optical lenses, and marks the measurements on lenses to ensure for proper fit, Pupillary Distance, and Segment Heights into the selected frame.

The shift is Monday - Friday, from 2:45pm - 11:15 pm. The starting pay is $17/hr.

No previous experience is necessary, we will provide training.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Must prepare frame by removing screws if necessary.
• Operate the Edging machines in the lab.
• Separate Edged work to ensure correct job flow into the next department.
• Monitor correct flow of HSE automatic edgers and address errors and stoppages as they occur.
