The SUNY Maritime College is looking for outgoing, responsible individuals to lifeguard both at the pool for rentals, camps, swim lessons, and lap swims.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Help ensure a safe and fun learning environment
- Respond to emergencies in accordance with certification and training
- Perform duties as a lifeguard as needed
- Prepare, maintain, and properly clean and stow all equipment
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to obtain before camp
- Fun-loving, team player, positive, can-do attitude
- Passion for and experience with working with children in a marine environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Water Safety Instructor Certification
Additional Information:
Classification/Salary Range: The hourly rate for the position is $17.00-$25.00 per hour commensurate with experience and certifications. Review of applications will commence immediately and conclude when positions are filled.
