A successful Human Resources Business Partner shall be knowledgeable in all aspects of the human resources field while partnering with assigned departments to align HR practices with business needs. They shall provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management, stay up-to-date on federal and state employment law and compliance, and support the strategic use of human capital within their assigned area. At a minimum, the position requires strong working knowledge of HR/business practices; proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office and/or Google; ability to use a computer and other office-related equipment; and ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.

 

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field, including personnel and compliance records management
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • The ability to grasp and understand business concepts and issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional critical thinking ability
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • The ability to coordinate the activities of others, organize workloads, and determine priority of duties
  • The ability to work safely and effectively, with or without close supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for an assigned department/project, advising employees and management on HR policies and procedures
  • Manage and coordinate HR processes effectively, applying expertise to ensure completion of work assignments
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR processes and procedures
  • Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to support the assigned department/project
  • Read, interpret, input, and analyze HR-related data in support of an assigned department/project
  • Additional duties as assigned 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4-5 years of related HR experience
  • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, tablets, printers, copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
