The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey, MN, and Waconia, MN. Anderson Dahlen delivers end-to-end equipment design-build and contract manufacturing, with precision fabrication – cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and complex assemblies – backed by engineering, integration, and complete process solutions including skids and sanitary platforms tailored to customer applications. Anderson Dahlen is ISO 9001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $30 hour.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Fabricator to support the forming and fabrication of sheet metal components to customer specifications and company quality standards. This role may involve a range of responsibilities depending on experience level, from assisting with basic layout and forming operations to independently performing complex press brake, rolling, and fabrication work on a wide variety of parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and work from drawings, sketches, routing notes, and instructions to determine operational requirements and develop forming details for sheet metal components.
- Assist with or independently perform layout, forming, press brake, rolling, shearing, sawing, drilling, and related fabrication operations based on experience and skill level.
- Operate equipment such as press brakes, rolls, shears, band saws, drills, forklifts, overhead cranes, and various hand tools safely and effectively.
- Use shop math, arithmetic calculations, trigonometry, and layout formulas to support fabrication and forming operations.
- Select proper dies, tooling, and machine settings to complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Measure and inspect parts using tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and protractors to ensure conformance to specifications and prescribed tolerances.
- Perform work on parts ranging from small standard components to large or complex fabrications requiring close tolerances and careful coordination.
- Support or perform rolling operations for straight walls, cylinders, cones, and other formed parts, including more complex transitions based on experience.
- Detect defective materials, unusual conditions, or operating difficulties and communicate them promptly to supervisors or trainers.
- Recommend or apply methods that improve efficiency, reduce setup time, increase throughput, and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude, comply with company and departmental policies, and support on-time, high-quality job completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The company fosters a manufacturing-type environment. Moderately heavy work requires the occasional lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds or less. In the performance of essential duties, the incumbent may be required to operate a variety of industrial machining tools.
