Redis Platform Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Platform Engineer with foundational experience in Redis Enterprise and container platforms to support the build, deployment, and operation of enterprise-grade in-memory data platforms. The ideal candidate is eager to learn distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and automation practices, and can contribute to delivering scalable, highly available, and low-latency Redis Enterprise solutions.


In this role, you will:

  • Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining Redis Enterprise clusters under guidance from senior engineers

  • Support the operation of Redis Enterprise components including cluster nodes, quorum, master and replica shards, and proxy-based client access

  • Participate in platform upgrades and maintenance, including patching, node management, and cluster health monitoring.

  • Work with senior engineers to deploy and configure Redis Enterprise databases, including sharding, replication, and high availability configurations

  • Contribute to automation and deployment pipelines, including CI/CD workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code for Redis Enterprise provisioning

  • Assist in implementing resiliency patterns, including failover, cluster recovery, and multi-node distribution

  • Follow established platform governance standards, including database lifecycle management, naming conventions, and access controls

  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting, helping identify issues related to cluster health, replication, and performance

  • Learn and apply best practices for Redis Enterprise architecture, including clustering, shard distribution, memory management, and high availability

  • Support platform operations and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise policies and controls

  • Assist in monitoring and improving platform performance, including latency, throughput, and memory utilization

  • Collaborate with application teams to support common Redis use cases such as caching, session management, and rate limiting

  • Work closely with internal infrastructure teams including platform, networking, and security to support Redis Enterprise deployments and operations


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Basic understanding of Redis Enterprise or in-memory data platforms, including clustering, high availability, and replication concepts

  • Exposure to container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift (OCP)

  • Familiarity with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems basics

  • Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools, such as Shell or Python

  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices

  • Awareness of security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, and encryption basics

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues with guidance

  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Redis Enterprise cluster deployments or operator-based deployments in Kubernetes environments

  • Familiarity with Redis Enterprise concepts such as shading, replication, failover, and proxy-based architecture

  • Basic understanding of high availability and resiliency patterns in distributed systems

  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools including metrics, logs, and alerting

  • Experience using Git, CI/CD tools, or automation frameworks

  • Interest in learning large-scale, low-latency data platforms and enterprise caching solutions

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$37.02 - $69.71
