Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Manage outgoing and incoming financial transactions by processing vendor payments, customer invoices, and collection follow-up in a timely manner.
• Review bank activity, compare records against statements, and resolve discrepancies to help maintain accurate accounting data.
• Support payroll administration by preparing entries, organizing related information, and assisting with routine payroll documentation.
• Create, update, and maintain accounting files, supporting documents, and financial records with a high level of accuracy.
• Contribute to periodic reporting and month-end close activities by gathering information, preparing reconciliations, and organizing required documentation.
• Keep invoice, contract, and recordkeeping systems orderly so documents can be retrieved quickly and audit trails remain clear.
• Coordinate office supply purchasing, track inventory levels, and communicate with vendors regarding orders and service needs.
• Arrange meetings, manage calendars or appointments as needed, and provide general administrative assistance to accounting leadership and office management.
• Enter data into internal systems, prepare routine reports, update databases, and assist with onboarding tasks and other administrative projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting accounting operations with hands-on responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.• Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling financial information.
• Working knowledge of invoice processing and the ability to organize supporting documentation efficiently.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations, transaction review, and basic accounting record maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing administrative needs in a contract role.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and management.
• Competence with standard office and accounting software used for reporting, recordkeeping, and daily administrative tasks.
