Grant Analyst

Compensation: $38 to $44 Hourly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Grant Analyst to support grant administration for a non-profit organization. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can oversee grant activity from initial review through final processing while maintaining strong compliance standards and reliable data practices. The role will work closely with cross-functional partners to improve workflows, strengthen reporting, and provide thoughtful guidance on complex grant-related matters.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the administration of routine and complex grants from intake through final completion, ensuring each request is processed accurately and within established timelines.
• Conduct thorough due diligence reviews by evaluating recipient eligibility, grant purpose, and required supporting records to support sound compliance decisions.
• Convert regulatory expectations and internal grant policies into practical procedures that promote consistency and reduce operational risk.
• Analyze existing grant workflows, identify inefficiencies or recurring issues, and recommend process improvements that enhance service quality and turnaround time.
• Maintain high standards for grant record accuracy by monitoring coding, documentation, and data entry practices across the grant portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define reporting needs and produce meaningful grant data insights that support planning and decision-making.
• Promote effective use of grant systems and operational tools by developing guidance materials, supporting training efforts, and refining templates and dashboards.
• Serve as a dependable point of contact for escalated grant issues, urgent requests, and exception scenarios while balancing policy requirements with organizational mission.
• Provide additional grant operations support as needed to meet team priorities and evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in grant administration, grant operations, compliance, or a related analytical function.
• Working knowledge of due diligence practices, documentation standards, and compliance review principles within a regulated or mission-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities involving both standard and complex grant activity with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Experience improving operational processes, identifying control gaps, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong data management and reporting skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and interpret information for stakeholders.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain procedures clearly.
• Proficiency with grant management systems or comparable platforms, along with comfort creating supporting documentation and training materials.
• Familiarity with nonprofit operations and exposure to risk, compliance, or financial review concepts is preferred.

Compensation

$38.00-$44.00 Hourly
