Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join a long-term contract opportunity in Richmond, Virginia. This role supports complex financial analysis across multiple entities and business segments while partnering with finance and technology stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and data structure. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, advanced Excel skills, and confidence working with large, detailed data sets in a dynamic service environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support financial analysis activities tied to enterprise reporting and cross-functional finance initiatives.
• Develop and refine chart of accounts structures by evaluating business units, entity needs, and reporting requirements.
• Extract, organize, and interpret financial reports to identify trends, inconsistencies, and actionable insights.
• Work across multiple entities and lines of business to align financial data mapping and reporting logic.
• Perform detailed data validation to improve accuracy, consistency, and reliability in financial information.
• Use advanced Excel tools, including pivot tables and lookup functions, to analyze large volumes of data efficiently.
• Partner with IT and finance teams to translate business needs into clear financial reporting and data solutions.
• Contribute ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making and operational priorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in financial analysis within complex or multi-entity business environments.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and large data set analysis.
• Background working at the intersection of finance and IT, with strong understanding of data structures and reporting logic.
• Experience with financial data mapping, reconciliation, and validation processes.
• Ability to perform variance analysis, financial modeling, and ad hoc analytical assignments.
• Exposure to international operations or global business environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
