Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring payments are entered within established timelines.
• Review and assign correct general ledger coding to invoices and related payable transactions before posting.
• Prepare and support ACH payments and check runs, confirming that disbursements are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Maintain accounts payable records in SAP, keeping vendor details, invoice data, and payment documentation organized and current.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and payment exceptions by coordinating with vendors and internal business partners.
• Reconcile accounts payable activity and assist with resolving outstanding items to support accurate financial reporting.
• Provide coverage for ongoing AP operations during a staffing transition and help sustain continuity in daily processing.
• Partner with teams across the manufacturing business to ensure invoice approvals and payment workflows move forward smoothly.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume processing environment.• Strong knowledge of invoice review, account coding, and payment processing procedures.
• Practical experience handling ACH transactions and check run administration.
• Proficiency using SAP for accounts payable tasks and related financial recordkeeping.
• Background working in a manufacturing setting or supporting manufacturing-related accounting operations.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and invoice issues.
Compensation
