Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices each day, assigning accurate general ledger coding and posting transactions to the appropriate accounting period.
• Maintain alignment between accounts payable records and the general ledger by reviewing aging reports, cash activity, and related account balances.
• Investigate and resolve payment, invoice, and account questions from vendors and internal team members using standard business communication tools.
• Record bank activity and support cash account maintenance by ensuring transactions are properly reflected in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with routine accounting updates needed to keep financial records complete and accurate.
• Perform book-to-bank and other account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and support timely resolution.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly close activities, including account true-ups and reconciliation support.
• Handle additional accounts payable and accounting assignments as needed to support team priorities.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in accounts payable, including invoice entry, account coding, and payment processing.
• Working knowledge of reconciliation practices for accounts payable, bank activity, and general ledger balances.
• Experience using Sage 100 or a similar accounting platform in a transaction-heavy environment.
• Familiarity with ACH payments, check runs, and standard disbursement processes.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and support period-end close activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for responding to vendors and collaborating with internal teams.
• Comfortable working onsite in Exton, Pennsylvania on a permanent 40-hour-per-week schedule.
