Inventory Control Coordinator

Palo Alto, CA 94305, US Temporary
Compensation: $22 to $25 Hourly

We are looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to support accurate, efficient supply operations in Palo Alto, California. This short-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can combine hands-on inventory coordination with data analysis to improve stock performance, reporting, and day-to-day material availability. The role works closely with frontline teams to strengthen inventory practices, maintain reliable system records, and promote consistent operational standards.


Shift: 6 am to 2:30 pm


Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory records within Lawson and keep item, location, and stocking data current and accurate.

• Analyze usage trends and inventory metrics to recommend appropriate par levels, product placement, and stockroom adjustments.

• Create and document standardized procedures for inventory workflows and supply location processes.

• Train staff on handheld devices and approved system functions based on role-specific access and responsibilities.

• Support the setup of new par locations and verify that system information is configured correctly.

• Produce regular reports covering inventory utilization, counts, performance measures, and exception trends.

• Investigate inventory discrepancies, assist with root cause review, and help resolve issues affecting supply accuracy.

• Coordinate cycle count activities, review audit results, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and control costs.

• Follow safety, infection prevention, and workplace organization standards while completing required documentation and related duties.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in inventory control or inventory management.
• Working knowledge of inventory practices, stock control methods, and related systems.
• Strong computer and data entry skills, with the ability to maintain accurate information across software applications.
• Ability to interpret inventory data and prepare clear metric-based reports.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and audit readiness.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, compliance standards, and confidentiality expectations.

Compensation

$25.64-$25.64 Hourly
