Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a dynamic accounting firm serving businesses and professionals in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong bookkeeping expertise, values accuracy, and enjoys working directly with clients across a variety of accounting needs. The successful candidate will play an important part in maintaining reliable financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activity, and helping deliver responsive, high-quality service.

Responsibilities:
• Manage client bookkeeping activities on site, ensuring financial records remain current, organized, and accurate.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while monitoring timely payments and collections.
• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger activity to support complete and reliable accounting records.
• Prepare and issue invoices, following up as needed to help maintain smooth billing operations.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and keep balances aligned.
• Administer payroll processing and ensure employee payments are handled correctly and on schedule.
• Produce quarterly and year-end payroll filings and related reports in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Support month-end close procedures and compile financial statements for client review and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of bookkeeping experience in a hands-on accounting environment.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage 50 is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to producing accurate work within established deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with clients.
• A service-focused, collaborative approach supported by sound judgment and integrity.
• Positive attitude and dependable work style in a client-facing business setting.

Compensation

$55,000.00-$70,000.00 Yearly
