Receptionist
A busy medical specialty practice is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role requires excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage a high-volume front desk environment. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Front Desk Operations
- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect copayments and process patient payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Administrative Support
- Scan, file, and organize office documentation
- Coordinate appointment reminders and follow-up calls
- Assist with medical records requests
- Support office staff with administrative projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience
- Medical office experience preferred
- Experience with EMR systems is a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Compensation
