About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing accounts payable processes? Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk with proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Sage to join our client’s accounting team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments while supporting the smooth operations of the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable transactions, including processing invoices and verifying supporting documentation.
- Complete weekly payment runs (check, ACH, and wire payments).
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Enter and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and/or Sage accounting software.
- Monitor and follow up on any outstanding accounts payable issues or unpaid invoices.
- Assist in maintaining proper documentation by filing invoices, approval forms, and payment records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations related to accounts payable.
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including accounts reconciliation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable systems, processes, and accounting principles.
- Expertise in using accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in financial data entry and management.
