Job Summary
The Program Finance Analyst will support the Fulbright Scholar Programs portfolio by analyzing financial data to identify potential risks and aid program management decisions. The Analyst’s responsibilities will include monitoring expenses compared to budgets, preparing and/or reviewing financial reports and invoices for submission to funders, and discussing the Program’s financial results with IIE’s senior financial leadership each quarter. The Analyst will need to collaborate frequently with colleagues in the program team to understand the program cycle and ongoing program activities to assess how these may impact the program’s financial results.
Essential Functions:
• Creates and maintains financial reports to monitor program expenses against budget line items. Discusses major variances and potential financial risks with manager and participates in monthly presentations to the program management team.
• Works with manager, program team, and the Grants & Contracts team to mitigate risks and resolve compliance issues.
• Collaborates with program teams to investigate variances on Fulbright Scholar awards in the organization's operating budget in preparation for quarterly review meetings with the CFO and Deputy CFO.
• Prepares and reviews financial deliverables for submission to funders.
• Assists program teams during the semi-annual process to update the organization’s operating budget by reviewing expense and revenue projections and determining whether projections are consistent with anticipated results in consultation with manager.
• Reviews revenue and cash application each month and work with Revenue Management and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve any issues.
• Facilitates the setup of new contracts and charge codes in accordance with the contract’s terms in the PeopleSoft contract management system. Acts as a contract administrator throughout the life cycle of a contract, including tracking financial deliverables, developing and distributing payment coding structure, and interpreting financial aspects of the contract for program teams.
• Supports pricing for competitive and renewal proposals.
• Supports the annual audit process as it relates to assigned contracts.

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel and financial data management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial program stakeholders.
• Ability to create and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues across the organization.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.
Salary and Benefits:
Hiring Range: $59,232 - $72,712. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
