Sr. Accountant
A growing CPG company is seeking a Sales & Use Tax Accountant to join its finance team in a hybrid work environment. This role is critical to ensuring compliance across multi‑state operations and will serve as a subject‑matter expert for all sales and use tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file sales & use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage taxability determinations for products, services, and exemptions
- Support audits, notices, and inquiries related to sales & use tax
- Partner with accounting, operations, and sales teams to ensure accurate tax application
- Maintain and improve sales & use tax processes, documentation, and controls
What We’re Looking For
- Proven, hands‑on sales & use tax experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of multi‑state tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Detail‑oriented professional who can work independently in a hybrid setting

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA‑track preferred).
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing.
- Experience with multi‑state taxation, sales/use tax, and corporate tax filings.
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Familiarity with inventory costing and transactional accounting.
Compensation
