Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. The Department of Family & Community Medicine has played a leading role in fellow, resident, and medical student education since 1974 and continues to focus on improving the health of members of our Cincinnati community and beyond, with a special focus on medically underserved patients. The Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati is one of only 11 Osher Centers in the world leading the transformation of healthcare from a disease-care system to a well-care system through integrative and lifestyle medicine.
UC Survivorship & Supportive Services offers the most supportive services in the region for cancer care, from managing fatigue and "chemo brain" to stress management, nutrition support and heart health, in addition to the area's only primary care clinic designed for people living with or after cancer.
The Osher Center and Survivorship & Supportive Services are collaboratively recruiting a Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing Manager in leading marketing and communications efforts for both departments, with 50% of the position supporting the Osher Center and 50% of the position supporting Survivorship & Supportive Services. This position is set at 75% FTE with a 30 hour work week.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the option of up to two remote working days per week upon completion of the training period. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions
Under the direction and supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will:
- Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials.
- Manage the design, layout, and writing of print and digital materials, including implementation of a new digital resource library for the center.
- Manage own projects and guide team members and student interns through associated tasks
- Assist with design, layout, and implementation of email newsletter.
- Assist in social media management, including content creation, engagement, and analytics.
- Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns.
- Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs. Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes.
- Assist in the execution of community engagement events as needed
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic arts, public relations, digital media, or related field.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Experience in developing a social media strategy and editorial calendar to promote college events and efforts.
- Experience in copywriting for email, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and the creation of college-wide news stories.
- An understanding of a website's content management system.
- Some experience in event planning.
- Basic graphic design skills in either Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
- Basic experience in multimedia such as photography and videography.
