Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an experienced Composite Prototype Technician III to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Vehicle Engineering organization.The position is located in Iuka, MS.
Responsibilities Include:
Composite material part layup and fabrication
Fabrication, layup, coating, and operations of CNC machines, ovens and autoclaves
Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes including computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools
Operates forklifts
Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
Basic Qualifications:
Basic qualifications for a Composite Prototype Technician Level 3 include a High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience laying up and fabricating composite parts
