This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
Mission Assurance Engineer interprets customer technical and Mission Assurance requirements, and ensuring these requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications and product drawings.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirement.
Represents Mission Assurance at different review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), & Material Review Board (MRB).
Internal quality requirements, and ensure these requirements are integrated into program SOW’s, plans, quality plans, specifications, and product drawings.
Ensure program contract requirements are flown down internally and to suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contract program, quality, organizational, and industry alert requirements.
Represent Mission Assurance at various program reviews and review boards including but not limited to Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Material Review Board (MRB), Program Management Reviews (PMR), Design/Peer Reviews, Manufacturing/Test Readiness Reviews and Corrective Action Boards (CAB).
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Drive concepts like Cost of Quality, FMEA and similar measures designed to help drive improvement.
Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis, and Problem-Solving activities on program-specific, quality system and business system deficiencies.
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of quality policy and procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS) including supporting external audits and performing internal audits to assess conformance.
Review practices, procedures and processes seeking avenues to improve efficiency and effectiveness and reduce risk to product quality and personnel.
Collect, analyze and report key performance indicator data/metrics and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and improve performance.
Provide experience within manufacturing and test quality assurance processes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. (Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement)
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret/SCI clearance
Experience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activities
Experience working with or supporting PCB/CCA design, fabrication, and/or test and verification
Experience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board
Experience supporting Engineering Review Board
Experience reading cabling drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics
Knowledge of PWB/PCB/CCA manufacturability
Preferred Qualification:
Experience working directly with customers
Direct program experience working with the following disciplines: Program Management Office, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, SEIT, and PM&P
Experience support Risk and Opportunity Management Board
Experience leading or supporting Failure Review Board
Experience coordinating the efforts of diverse stakeholders
Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
Experience with requirements management and the associated tools, i.e. DOORs

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
