Tax Preparer
Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual and business tax filings accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable tax requirements.
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining ledgers, recording transactions, and completing account reconciliations.
• Use QuickBooks to organize financial records, track activity, and support day-to-day accounting operations.
• Analyze client financial information to identify proper reporting treatment and resolve discrepancies before filing.
• Contribute to reducing workload backlogs by handling a steady volume of assignments during busy tax periods.
• Work closely with CPAs and other accounting team members to support timely completion of client deliverables.
• Maintain organized documentation and clear records to support tax preparation, bookkeeping activities, and client files.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in a public accounting or firm-based tax environment.• Hands-on experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong bookkeeping background with knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks for accounting and financial record management.
• Experience with Lacerte, Intuit Lacerte, Tax Pro, or similar tax preparation software is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume setting.
Compensation
