Healthcare Interface Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and maintain healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect or comparable integration platforms to support reliable data exchange across systems.
• Investigate interface failures, messaging issues, and workflow disruptions, then implement timely fixes to restore production stability.
• Oversee several simultaneous small to mid-sized initiatives while contributing to broader integration efforts as business needs shift.
• Partner with internal departments, outside vendors, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver practical integration solutions.
• Take ownership of support tasks and smaller projects to help increase team capacity and reduce pending work.
• Assist with Azure-based integration components, including services such as functions, queues, and storage, to support connected workflows.
• Improve operational efficiency by identifying repeat issues and introducing automation for routine support and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to the growth of the integration environment, including expansion of interface engine capabilities when needed.
• Maintain organized technical documentation and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders throughout project and support work.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with Mirth Connect or another healthcare interface engine such as Cloverleaf or Rhapsody.• Background supporting healthcare integrations involving HL7, APIs, and related interoperability standards.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot live interface issues and resolve production support incidents effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with experience working directly with clients, vendors, or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Functions, queues, or storage, is preferred.
• Exposure to C# or scripting for integration support, automation, or related technical tasks is a plus.
• Experience balancing technical delivery with functional coordination or project-oriented integration work is beneficial.
Compensation
