Mailroom Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations for a Contract position based in Winchester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will help keep incoming and outgoing correspondence organized, ensure timely internal delivery, and maintain an efficient flow of mail throughout the site. This opportunity is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling routine distribution tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Sort and organize incoming letters, packages, and internal correspondence for accurate distribution.
• Deliver mail and parcels to designated departments and staff members in a timely manner.
• Prepare outgoing mail by collecting items, verifying labeling, and routing materials for shipment.
• Monitor daily mail activity to help maintain an orderly and efficient mailroom operation.
• Handle mail processing tasks with care to reduce delays, misdeliveries, and disruptions.
• Maintain mailroom supplies and notify the appropriate team when stock needs replenishment.
• Assist with tracking received and dispatched items to support accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a mailroom, shipping area, or similar support function is preferred.
• Ability to sort, distribute, and deliver mail accurately throughout the workday.
• Comfortable managing daily mail processing tasks while staying organized and attentive to detail.
• Capable of handling routine physical duties, including lifting packages and moving mail bins as needed.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow established procedures.
• Basic communication skills and an attentive, detail-oriented approach when interacting with staff and couriers.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
