Civil Litigation Attorney | Overland Park, KS | Hybrid

A well-established, mid-sized regional law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team in Overland Park, KS. This opportunity offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client contact, and a collegial environment that supports long-term career development. Hybrid flexibility is available after onboarding and training, with a preference for in-office collaboration.

 

Practice Areas This role will support a diverse civil litigation practice, including:

·      Contract negotiation and dispute resolution

·      Business tort matters

·      Partnership and shareholder disputes

·      Regulatory and compliance issues

Attorneys in this position will have the opportunity to build substantive experience in:

·      Motion practice

·      Discovery

·      Depositions

·      Jury and bench trials

·      State and federal court proceedings

Qualifications:

Experience

·      Open to newly licensed attorneys, including recent law school graduates

·      Experienced litigators are also encouraged to apply

·      Prior private practice experience is helpful, but not required

Qualifications

·      Juris Doctor (JD) required

·      Active Kansas bar admission and good standing required

·      Missouri bar admission strongly preferred

·      Willingness to travel for court appearances and depositions

·      Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills

·      Ability to work collaboratively across offices and practice areas

·      Interest in developing a personal practice and contributing to business development efforts

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000–$170,000, depending on experience
• Benefits: Health, dental & vision; life (group & individual), AD& D; short- & long-term disability; accident, critical illness & hospital indemnity coverage; FSA/HSA; 401(k) with firm match; PTO & paid holidays; firm-paid bar dues, CLE & legal memberships (subject to budget); free parking.
