Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead core month-end close activities and help ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks.
• Calculate commission expense and prepare related accounting entries, including treatment for deferred commissions.
• Record payroll-related journal entries with accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
• Perform reconciliations across key balance sheet accounts, including accounts payable and bank-related activity.
• Maintain monthly accrual schedules and post recurring or adjusting entries as needed.
• Produce monthly and quarterly revenue reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Assemble financial reporting packages and supporting analyses for leadership and board-level review.
• Prepare quarterly accounting entries related to equity activity and capitalized software, ensuring alignment with accounting policies.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing month-end close processes in a senior accounting capacity.• Strong knowledge of general ledger activity and the preparation of accurate journal entries.
• Hands-on experience completing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and other routine balance sheet reconciliation work.
• Ability to prepare clear financial reports and summarize results for business leaders.
• Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting and quarterly accounting adjustments.
• Capable of working independently in a part-time arrangement of 20 to 30 hours per week.
Compensation
