VP of Finance | Venture Capital Firm | San Francisco Bay Area | Hybrid | Base + Carry!

This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role working directly with senior leadership across finance, accounting, and operations. It goes beyond traditional accounting with exposure to valuations, fundraising, portfolio strategy, and process/build initiatives. Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership on fund finance and operations
- Oversee fund administrator, auditors, and tax providers
- Manage investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and valuations
- Support fundraising and new fund launches
- Track portfolio performance and assist with valuation updates
- Improve systems, workflows, and processes
- Draft investor updates and support key communications
- Assist with select operational and people-related initiatives

Qualifications:
- 6-10+ years in fund finance, accounting, or VC/PE experience
- Strong understanding of venture capital accounting and valuations
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong business judgment in fast-paced environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire for broader ownership/growth
- Strong communicator with leadership exposure
- Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Experience improving processes and building workflows is a plus
