Staff Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end close, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Help prepare financial statements and internal management reports
- Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting-related matters
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Public accounting experience a plus
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
Compensation
