Senior Accountant

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is immediately seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join their accounting team on a contract to permanent basis! This position will play a critical role in month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost accounting support, account reconciliations, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience and the ability to partner with operations to support financial performance and decision-making.

Qualifications:

Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variances.

Support inventory accounting processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations.

Assist with cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing.

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.

Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis and investigate variances.

Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced internal controls.

Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
