POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Experience Program Manager (CEPM) oversees the coordination and implementation of medical students’ initial clinical experiences within the curriculum. These experiences are designed to provide structured exposure to clinical practice and support the development of foundational skills. The role works closely with clinical preceptors, Montefiore Health System sites, local clinic partners, and the Becoming a Physician (BAP) course team to facilitate student placements and ensure a high-quality learning environment. The CEPM manages clinical partnerships, oversees student placement processes, and supports program evaluation and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements.
BAP/ELCP Program
- Manage the clinical experience component of the BAP course across the pre-clerkship curriculum and transition to clerkship
- Oversee day-to-day program operations, including timelines, processes, and clinical education activities
- Develop and refine workflows to improve operational efficiency and address program challenges
- Build and maintain relationships with clinical preceptors and affiliated practice sites, including external health systems
- Serve as the primary liaison to clinical partners, supporting onboarding, communication, and ongoing engagement
- Coordinate and support periodic clinical site visits to assess experience quality and gather feedback
- Facilitate affiliation agreements and related documentation in collaboration with institutional offices
- Oversee administration of student clinical site ranking, lottery, and placement processes
- Monitor placement capacity and outcomes, making adjustments as needed
- Serve as a key resource for students regarding clinical experience logistics and issue resolution
- Collaborate with course leadership to support course materials, scheduling, and communications
- Coordinate preceptor orientation and support alignment with curriculum expectations
- Support integration of clinical experiences within the broader curriculum and accreditation requirements
- Track program performance, collect feedback, and implement improvements to enhance the student and preceptor experience
- Maintain program records related to participation, agreements, and activities
- Support budget tracking and basic reporting for program expenses
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- Oversee administration of required student training programs, including system access, completion tracking, and compliance
- Prepare status updates and reports for program leadership
- Serve as a central resource for students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to support effective program operations
- Maintain confidentiality of student and site information and perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, public health, business administration, or a related field required; Masters is preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, academic administration, healthcare operations, or a related field required. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of directly related experience demonstrating progressive responsibility may also be considered. Equivalent combinations of education and experience, including a relevant master’s degree, will be considered

Minimum Salary Range:
USD $90,000.00/Yr.
Maximum Salary Range:
USD $100,000.00/Yr.
