About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support inventory accuracy, exception management, and operational efficiency across Distribution Center activities. This role is responsible for analyzing inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, monitoring inventory health, and producing reports and dashboards that support service level performance, compliance, and overall inventory control. The Inventory Analyst partners closely with DC operations, inventory leadership, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve process execution, and strengthen inventory accuracy.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities:
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and identify root causes using system data, transaction history, and physical verification
- Monitor inventory aging, bottlenecks, and exception conditions across the DC network
- Generate and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries related to inventory performance
- Manage exception reporting for receipts, putaway, fulfillment, shipments, and transfer activity
- Review daily aging reports for yard inventory, unloading dock, pending ASN receipt, pending putaway, pending pick/pack, pending shipment, and hub inventory
- Support cycle count programs, including variance analysis, recount follow-up, and adjustment validation
- Support physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory audits to maintain data integrity and audit readiness
- Track SLA performance related to container unload, ASN receipt completion, putaway completion, pick/pack cycle time, shipment processing, and cycle count execution
- Maintain inventory records, system transactions, and data accuracy within WMS, ERP, and related inventory management systems
- Assist with inventory control procedures, stock movement analysis, and process gap identification
- Collaborate with operations, warehouse, finance, and other business partners to improve inventory processes and reduce errors
- Recommend and support process improvements that strengthen inventory control, workflow efficiency, and compliance
- Escalate recurring risks, discrepancies, and systemic process failures as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and safety requirements
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, inventory control, supply chain, warehouse, distribution, or related operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, isolate root causes, and make actionable recommendations
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
- Experience using WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, finance, and leadership teams
- Experience in distribution, warehouse, retail, manufacturing, or multi-site inventory environments
- Knowledge of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and physical inventory processes
- Experience building reports or dashboards in Excel, or similar tools
- Understanding of inventory KPIs such as inventory accuracy, aging, dock-to-stock time, putaway cycle time, fulfillment rate, and SLA performance
- Experience with exception management and corrective action tracking
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting process standardization and operational improvements
- Familiarity with vendor compliance, routing, or chargeback-related reporting is a plus

This position operates in a Distribution Center environment and requires regular interaction with warehouse operations, inventory control teams, and leadership. The role may involve a combination of system analysis, reporting, and on-floor observation to support issue resolution and process improvement.
