The Principal Engineer Systems will perform system integration, develop verification and validation processes, develop timeline analyses, and assist with system level requirements closures. This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders across distributed teams to support delivery of quality design products.

Essential functions of this role:

• Performs total systems requirements analysis.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
• Supports system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements.
• Supports Request for Proposal responses and Basis of Estimate development and submissions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5 years engineering related experience, OR Master’s in STEM with 3 years of experience.
• Your ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated government SECRET security clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
• Experience in DOORs or other Requirements Management tools.
• Experience presenting technical approaches and content to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active In-scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Previous or existing Program Access Request (PAR).
• Experience with proposals and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
• Experience with Agile / Scrum.
• Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Experience with Software development methodologies.
• The ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
