The Principal Engineer Systems will perform system integration, develop verification and validation processes, develop timeline analyses, and assist with system level requirements closures. This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders across distributed teams to support delivery of quality design products.
Essential functions of this role:
- Performs total systems requirements analysis.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
- Supports system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements.
- Supports Request for Proposal responses and Basis of Estimate development and submissions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5 years engineering related experience, OR Master’s in STEM with 3 years of experience.
- Your ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated government SECRET security clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
- Experience in DOORs or other Requirements Management tools.
- Experience presenting technical approaches and content to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active In-scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Previous or existing Program Access Request (PAR).
- Experience with proposals and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Experience with Agile / Scrum.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).
- Experience with Software development methodologies.
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards.
