This role is located onsite in Edwards AFB, CA.

In this role, the successful candidate will work with the Industrial Engineering Team which is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many of the other organizations at the location. This is a team that comes together to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and iterate on detail production build schedules by working closely with Development and Production Operations
- Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.
- Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize waste, reduce cost, increase capacity and optimize schedule.
- Work with frontline leadership to assess current state reality and define future state possibilities
- Provide tactics and training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to improve the current state and facilitate value generation
- Conduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.
- Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customers
- Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.
- Provide capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.

Basic Qualifications (Base):
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience
Must have an active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Must have the ability to work on an assembly floor.
Must be proficient in MS Project, Excel, and/or PowerPoint
Must be able to support additional hours, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on experience using shop floor production system (MES, etc.)
- Current Special Program Access
- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Specific experience with Excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables.
- Experience with data analysis, or data visualization software applications
- Proficient with AutoCAD or Visio software
- Capacity and scheduling experience
- Experience with data visualization & dashboard creation/ maintenance (Tableau, Power BI)
- Project management experience
- Report programming experience (SQL, Crystal, MS Query, Bus. Objects, etc.)
- Experience performing Earned Value Management
- Demonstrated interest in leadership.
