Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Project Management Analyst to lead the day-to-day supply chain and subcontract execution activities and support of Flight Systems (FS) Business Unit for the Sentinel Program. This position will either be located in Roy, UT. This position reports to the Global Supply Chain Program Manager (GSC PM). The position will be required to be in-office regularly and cannot support a hybrid or telework arrangement at this time.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supports GSC activities for all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) as it relates to the Segment’s content. Ensures consistency in GSC processes across all GSC disciplines.

  • Leads GSC cross functional coordination between key Engineering, Logistics, Mission Assurance, Quality, Program, and Supply Chain stakeholders.

  • Applies critical thinking and synthesis to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, escalating process and performance challenges to the GSC PM as necessary.

  • Assists and supports the GSC PM in meetings.

  • Assists the GSC PM in process definition and improvement.

  • Assists the GSC PM in creating, facilitating, and providing training to key program, engineering, and GSC personnel.

  • Establishes priorities with the Procurement and Planning teams.

  • Assists in aligning Subcontracts support and resources for projects.

  • Holds program and GSC personnel accountable to execution throughout the acquisition process.

  • Acquires, organizes and standardizes key subcontractor and supplier information for Segment.

  • Accurately builds/presents program-level leadership briefings focused on parts status and critical program milestones

  • Recurring focus on financial forecasting, utilizing MRP system to track and drive requirements fulfillment, and approved supplier list maintenance.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or Sr. Principal level.

Principal Project Manager:

  • 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. In lieu of formal degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management, execution, and closeout

  • 3 years of experience developing DoD contracting strategies, creating materials, and delivering briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Principal level):

  • PMP Certification 

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance 

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations

  • Experience with establishing Strategy, Roadmap, Vision artifacts

  • Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages, Atlassian Tool Suite, and other electronic databases

  • Proficient in Agile Development

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills 

Sr Principal Project Manager:

  • 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. In lieu of formal degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

  • 5 years of DoD contracting strategies

  • Experience with supplier management and incentive strategies on a DoD contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Sr Principal level):

  • PMP Certification

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance 

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations

  • Executive presence and comfort in communications at that level

  • Experience with establishing Strategy, Roadmap, Vision artifacts

  • Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages, Atlassian Tool Suite, and other electronic databases

  • Proficient in Agile Development 

  • A successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

  • Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $152,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
