This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of quality engineers covering Bacchus manufacturing facilities. This individual will oversee a team of engineers who support a broad range of products and programs.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
Provide leadership and oversight of 8-12 quality engineers responsible for ensuring product meets requirements
Be the face of S&MA to associated VSOs as well as external customers.
Represent and communicate S&MA technical capabilities and technologies to internal and external customers
Ensure leadership and key subject matter expert succession plans are in place and be proactive by coaching and mentoring key talent to assume increased responsibilities
Responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other technical Propulsion Systems organizations including other groups in S&MA, Operations, Process Engineering, Science and Engineering, and Program Management
Manage material and labor budgets
Other duties as assigned
This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
Basic Qualifications:
Approved STEM Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional/relevant experience – OR – Approved STEM Master’s degree with 6 years of professional/relevant experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
General knowledge of the role of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Tooling or component Quality
Demonstrated team leadership skills – formal engineering or operations leadership experience and/or significant technical projects or investigations
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with internal and external customers
Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to coach, develop and mentor others
Ability to drive change through creating, sustaining and improving standards and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge of CM principles
Graduate degree (MS, MBA, PhD) in engineering or related technical discipline

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
