Business Analyst | Annuity | New Prod
Responsibilities:
• Partner with stakeholders across product, operations, and technology to uncover business needs and convert them into well-defined user stories and functional documentation.
• Contribute to Agile delivery activities by supporting sprint planning, daily collaboration, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to keep work aligned with priorities.
• Work alongside technical teams to help define scalable solutions, support early concept development, and influence product planning decisions.
• Evaluate existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements through automation or better use of technology.
• Assist with production support efforts by investigating issues, helping coordinate fixes, and promoting system reliability for business users.
• Track operational incidents, maintain clear documentation, and support resolution activities while identifying patterns that can reduce future disruptions.
• Serve as a connector between business and technical teams by clarifying expectations, communicating progress, and helping manage delivery timelines.
• Develop and execute validation approaches such as test scenarios and requirement checks to confirm solutions meet intended business outcomes.
• Review system and user data to uncover trends, support decision-making, and inform enhancements to annuity-related products.
• Support new product development efforts by helping refine requirements, align cross-functional teams, and maintain momentum from concept through release.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or IT Business Analyst role.• Hands-on background in the financial services sector, including experience supporting annuity-related business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate them into user stories, functional specifications, and other business documentation.
• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail in complex business situations.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Previous involvement with new product development teams is strongly preferred.
